Erica J. Hagen is passionate advocate for active learning in her role as the Director of CEETE (the Collaborative for Engineering Education and Teaching Effectiveness) in the College of Engineering. Our mission at CEETE is to partner with faculty, instructional staff, administration, and other areas on campus to support and continuously improve teaching, learning, and the student experience in the College of Engineering.
She is an active member of the campus Instructional Technologist Group and is currently serving as outgoing Chair. She participates in the Faculty Development Division at ASEE and BIG10 Engineering IT Conferences. She nurtured twin loves in Engineering Education and Geological Engineering as a student at UW Madison (BS ‘09, MS ‘11) and cut her teeth on blended education while designing and implementing flipped Soil Mechanics in the WisCEL space in 2011-2013.
