Dr. Taeho Kim is an Assistant scientist in the Engineering Physics Department at University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focused on corrosion characteristic of zirconium fuel cladding materials and structural materials of pressurized water reactors including nickel based alloy and stainless steels. In addition, he used in-situ Raman spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, TEM, SEM, synchrotron X-ray adsorption spectroscopy, and X-ray reflectivity method for investigating the characteristic of oxide film. Now, Dr. Kim focuses the effect of UV on corrosion behavior of zirconium alloy at simulated pressurized water reactor condition.
