Dr. Moreira is a Scientist I at the University of Wisconsin-Madison working with the thermal-hydraulics of nuclear reactors and high-temperature power generation advanced systems. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering by the University of Sao Paulo (USP), where he also obtained his Masters (research theme: heat transfer of nanofluids during single-phase flow and flow boiling in microchannels) and Ph.D. (analysis of the condensation of hydrocarbons and their mixtures inside horizontal channels applied to commercial and industrial refrigeration). As part of his PhD, he performed a six months internship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associated at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 18 months (August 2021 to February 2023).
