Lauranne (she, her, hers), a Certified Scrum Master in Agile Project Management, has worked in multiple roles at InterPro: editor, webmaster, and now IT project manager. She works with colleagues at the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) and the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS), managing projects that keep InterPro's websites running and working with improvements to a shared course management system used by InterPro, DCS, and other groups on campus. She served as chair for 3-1/2 years on InterPro's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee and participated in the College of Engineering's Inclusive, Equity and Diversity in Engineering Committee. In 2022 she received the Janet E. Plato DEI Award. Lauranne earned her BA in Journalism/Sociology. She was a founding member of the campus Moodle Council. At the time Moodle was a 'rogue' course management system to fit the more specific needs of engineers and scientists. Lauranne has served several years on the College of Engineering's Committee on Academic Staff Issues (CASI) and more recently on the Academic Staff Assembly's Ad Hoc Committee on First Nations Land Acknowledgment. As a Scrum Master, she has delivered several workshops on campus and nationally at conferences.
