Ed leads the College's Interdisciplinary Professional Programs (InterPro), ranging from executive programs and curated peer learning of UW's E-Business Consortium, to InterPro's nearly 200 professional development courses, certificate programs, and alternative credentials, and the College's 11 online graduate degree and certificate programs. Since 1984, he has pioneered efforts to develop new interdisciplinary programs, establish online learning capabilities, and build strong and lasting relationships among faculty and employers. Ed led similar units at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Washington University in St. Louis, Columbia University in New York, and at Rutgers. At these institutions and three start-up companies, he has fostered the development and delivery of innovative and highly successful interdisciplinary graduate professional programs in engineering, management, technology, healthcare, and organizational leadership; improving outcomes in learning design and innovation, strategic planning and implementation, and curriculum development.
