My research interests are at the intersection of computer vision and machine learning. Specifically, my goal is to develop systems that can robustly perceive and understand the world through multiple sensory modalities.
Before joining the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University. I completed my PhD at the University of California San Diego, and both my undergraduate and master's programs at Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal.
