Profile Summary

In the Masters Lab, researchers combine engineering tools with biological knowledge to create in vitro models of disease, with a specific focus on cardiovascular dysfunction and cancer. These in vitro environments help us to: 1) understand how cells integrate multiple cues to make ‘decisions’ about their fate, and 2) decipher the sequence of disease pathogenesis, and 3) identify potential targets for disease treatment.

In Fall 2019, Prof. Masters has general (not course-specific) office hours on Wednesdays from 9-10am in 3158 ECB and from 1-2pm in 8531 WIMR, or by appointment in either ECB or WIMR.
