Profile Summary

Amanda Renz leads the Learning Design and Technologies team in support of InterPro's Graduate and Professional Development Programs, offering world-class learning experiences and fulfilling the university's commitment to the Wisconsin Idea. 

The Learning Design and Technologies team provides effective support, consultation, strategic planning, and leadership in all current and emerging areas of teaching, learning, and technologies. Their work supports faculty, staff, and students, and includes all phases of instructional design, development, delivery, and evaluation. They build constructive partnerships with UW-Madison campus units and sustain a strong record of scholarly activity through research and conferences to drive educational innovation.

Amanda values authentic connection, meaningful engagement, and continuous improvement. As a Certified ScrumMaster and Product Owner, Amanda applies the agile framework to develop innovative solutions to complex problems in an ever-changing, dynamic environment.

Amanda is a proud Badger and lifelong learner who earned her bachelor’s in Education and master’s in Library and Information Studies, both from UW–Madison. Prior to joining the UW, she served as a K12 Educator and a Staff Sergeant in the US Army.
